Prior to the 2012 Susan G. Komen 5K - a note contributed by Evelyn Calip, Founder of "Evelyn's Breast Friends Forever" . . .
In Memory of our BFFF(Breast Friends Family Forever), Sonia... She has been an inspiration to all of us in so many ways. To see her fight this dreadful disease showed us how exceptional she was. We were blessed to have her in our BFF group ...and in our lives. We will walk for those who cannot in the Susan G. Komen at Dodger Stadium. One step at a time, we will find a cure. We walk for our sweet and always smiling, Sonia! We Love and Miss You, BFFF! But we know an Angel will be watching over us on the day of the Race!.... :)
. . . and after the race . . .
We did it, Sonia! We walked the 3 mile and carried your beautiful picture with us. As always, you attracted many people with your contagious smile, who took pictures of you. You may even make it to the six o'clock news tonight!
Thank You to all BFFs and supporters that came esp to Rianne Calip for making your poster. We felt your warm smile from above. RIP...Our BFFF! :)
